Steve & Wendy Backlund

The Backlunds were senior pastors for seventeen years before joining the Bethel Church (Redding, California) team in 2008. Ten of those years were spent on the backside of the desert in Central Nevada where they led their church into renewal, significant numerical growth and positively affecting their area.

Steve and Wendy have a special heart for senior leaders of rural and smaller churches. They believe strong local churches are the key to sustaining and increasing the manifestation of this current spiritual awakening.

Ignited Hope Ministries – is dedicated to ignite hope and personal victory in individuals, leaders and churches through a revelation of God’s goodness in Jesus Christ. Founders Steve and Wendy Backlund are authors, revivalists, teachers, and church strategists. They have a unique anointing to release hope and joy and a revelatory teaching gift that creates new wineskins for greater dimensions of God (both personally and corporately).

MODULE 1: HOW TO UNDERSTAND AND RELATE TO GOD – WORSHIP

Everything about God is worthy of worship! He is both great and good, a loving Father, and in a Good Mood!

Jan. 12 – SESSION 1: GOD IS WORTHY OF WORSHIP
The very character and nature of God causes all of creation to worship Him. He is beyond anything we could fathom and worthy of all our worship.

Jan. 19 – SESSION 2: GOD IS GREAT AND GOOD
God’s greatness and goodness are just two parts of who He is. They are foundational truths about how we should relate to Him in all His glory.

Jan. 26 – SESSION 3: GOD IS IN A GOOD MOOD
God’s mood is determined by His nature, not what people do. He is in a good mood on purpose. He relates intentionally with us to convey the love, goodness, and joy He holds for us in His heart.

Feb. 2 – SESSION 4: GOD IS A LOVING FATHER
Knowing in the depths of our beings what our Father has done for us — having fully opened His heart and given His love completely to make us His children — is the center of our identity and the beginning of our destiny as sons and daughters.

Freedom Kids

Freedom Kids meet every Sunday after worship. We know that children are gifts from God and at f2 we want to value them. Each child that comes through our doors is very important. Our main priority is to create an atmosphere for the kids to encounter God, so they feel His presence. God loves them so much and has great plans for their lives. They need to learn who they are and who’s they are. Protecting their identity and empowering them to change the world around them is key. We want to partner with parents in training up their children in the ways of the Lord. Teaching them about the goodness of God in ways they can grab a hold of on their level. Our heart is to instill in the kids of f2 the 4 Stages of Life @ Freedom Fellowship

1. Encounter God

2. Become a true Follower of Jesus

3. Cultivating a culture of Community

4. Ministering out of Compassion.

This will happen through times of worship, teaching of God’s word, fun activities, hands-on crafts, and inter-active lessons. The kids will be in three different groups:

Nursery

Pre K-K

1st grade – 5th grade
